End of the world or not?

According to the Mayan calendar is due on December 21, 2012 to finish our existence, and possibly a small part of us to remain and continue their life.As every rumor has 10% truth and here I am inclined to believe that sooner or later this thing will happen.Because we shouldn't appreciate what we have.
Maybe this is how people will evolve and move in further development. Many times we have heard or read, how soon will come the end of the world.For example in the late 20th century, the beginning of the 21st, even with the Y2K computer problem.In fact there is still nothing from predictions given by the prophet Nostradamus and others are materialized. Let's hope that the Mayans had something else in mind, but again not end or a new beginning of our civilization.
